Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 8, 2026. This policy explains what information PetsAlbum (petzalbum.com) collects, how we use it, and your choices. By using the site you agree to this policy and our Disclaimer & Terms.
1. Who we are
PetsAlbum is operated by the company that runs petzalbum.com ("we", "us"). For any privacy question or request, contact support@petzalbum.com.
2. Information we collect
- Account details — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Pet and content data — pet profiles (name, species, breed, birthday, notes), the photos and videos you upload, and records you add (vaccinations, food purchases, events).
- Things you submit — reviews, feedback, newsletter sign-ups, and business listings.
- Usage & device data — IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed and similar analytics, collected via cookies and tools such as Google Analytics.
3. How we use it
- To provide and operate the service (your albums, records and pages).
- To review and moderate uploads before they appear publicly.
- To send service messages and, if you opt in, vaccination reminders and updates.
- To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.
- To show relevant content and advertising, and to measure how the site is used.
4. Public content
Pet profiles, approved photos/videos, captions, and the display name on your reviews are public and can be viewed and shared by anyone. Please don't upload anything you want to keep private.
5. Cookies, analytics & advertising
We use essential cookies (to keep you logged in and protect forms). We may also use analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) to understand usage, and advertising partners (e.g. Google AdSense) that may use cookies to show and measure ads, including personalised ads. Our Shop and Services pages contain affiliate links; partners may set cookies to attribute purchases. You can control cookies in your browser, and you can opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site — our hosting provider, our email provider (for reminders and support), and analytics/advertising partners (Google) — and with third parties you choose to deal with (such as vendors you contact or retailers you buy from via links). Those third parties have their own privacy policies.
7. Data retention & your choices
We keep your information while your account is active. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to unsubscribe from emails, at any time by emailing support@petzalbum.com. Depending on where you live (e.g. the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we will honour valid requests.
8. Children
PetsAlbum is for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and uploads must not contain children — see the content policy.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures (including HTTPS and hashed passwords) to protect your data, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
